Native American Arts and Crafts by Sisters Gayle and Janine
We are registered Choctaw artists and Oklahoma natives. We offer dream catchers made from deer and elk antler sheds, recreations of Native American weaponry and clothes, leather accessories for the home or office, and antler-shed lamps with cloth or leather shades. Fancy dog collars embellished with real Swarovski crystal, rivet crystals, or silver conchos, for the canine lady or manly dog, are included for a little fun.
Combining our creative energies and artwork has given us a chance to enjoy not only our art but also each other again after years of working in different professions and states. Our artistic styles are different, yet complementary, so you will find artwork and creations to please nearly every taste. All the art is handmade and therefore unique, and most has already been sold to private collectors. However, if you see something you would like to have that has been sold, we can create a custom piece of artwork that, while it may be similar, will be yours alone.
Our artistic creations are our dreams and visions put into material objects. They are not copies of historical objects, but are instead inspired by them. We look at the raw materials, sometimes for days, until the piece has inspired its own creation. Each piece is handcrafted and no two are ever the same. Each piece has an individuality of its own and are memorable items to have and display in your home or anywhere you would like to have a one-of-a-kind conversation piece.
All our natural materials—the antlers, the wood and rock, the animal skins, the feathers, shells, bone and horn—live on in their vision of how they want to be recreated in art. Throughout history, we believe our ancestors created their weapons, ceremonial objects, and artwork in this same way.
We create new artwork every month, so check back often.
